Food, as always, is delicious! Server took my brother's disability into consideration when seating us. Very appreciated.

Had the fried chicken breast and it was delicious! Loved the seasoning and super moist inside. Fried okra is also really good.i think they cut and batter it here instead of ordering frozen. Left me wanting more. Mashed potatoes were okay. Service was friendly and fast. Price was fair. I will be back when I'm back in town.

I was actually genuinely surprised. I've always loved the TV show, the Golden Girls. That's the reason that made this restaurant attractive... Even knowing there is no real connection, I had to try it. I am not the greatest fan of southern comfort food, but this was really good. I had the roast beef, which was tender. My favorite southern food is fried okra, and it was wonderful. Make certain that you have a piece of a homemade cake. I had red velvet. The portion was large, and I had to bring half of it home. This is definitely a must try place.

I have always loves this place. My Mamaw's cousins started it and it is still family-owned.

Down home comfort food at a decent price. The inside has two seating areas with booths and tables. We were waited on quickly and the food came out just as quick.

First time their and the place was warm and inviting. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who is close to the area and friends and family. Absolutely love it

I usually love their food it is great but we got there about 30 mins before they close. The restaurant was very clean, cosy and quiet. Waitress was super friendly she listened well and got our order right. Our food came out hot except the bread which was a bit stale. The hamburger was over cooked and crunchy not like I had it before. The rest of the food was great. Was a little disappointed but not enough to keep me from going there again. Great bunch of staff.

Good food, good service! Our aunt and uncle eat here regularly and love it-- they rave about the roasted chicken. We just went for breakfast and everything was cooked correctly and delicious, especially the biscuits!

Food is always good and hot. Nothing fancy just home-cooked. Service is always fast and the servers are great.

Most of the time this restaurant has good old fashioned Southern home cooking and home baked desserts. This time was a little disappointing as the chicken I ordered was dry and had the look of having been cooked for a while. The Simon parties still listed on the special menu was made two days previously and I was advised by our server NOT to order them. Whilst i thank her for the advice I felt that the salmon patties should have been removed from the menu instead of them not being safe to eat!. My friends ordered the chicken livers. Some of them were very undercooked - raw. The green bile duct still filled with bile was a big turnoff. So, not the best experience on this occasion. To redeem theirselves a little the freshly baked banana mini nut breads were a welcome finish to a less than mediocre meal.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way through town. The service was great. Food was absolutely terrible.

The prices are very reasonable, but I was very disappointed by my meal. I ordered the Monday Special: Salisbury Steak with two sides (mashed potatoes and gravy & pinto beans). I also got a side of their "fried cornbread."The Salisbury Steak very closely resembled the Banquet version of this you can buy in the frozen food section of your favorite grocery. The gravy was served to me with a clump of congealed something it it. The pinto beans had good flavor but were a bit salty. The fried corn bread was a lot like Johnny cakes I've had in the past. The cornbread and pinto beans were my favorite part of this meal.This was the first, and in all likelihood the last time I will eat here.

This is a Wonderful place for a good home cooked meal!! Reasonably priced & Employees are very friendly. If u haven't tried it....u don't know what your missing!

So good. I had Thursday special of roast beef and two sides. Let's just say okra and corn delicious. Rolls and corn bread melt in your mouth deliciousness and hot like they should be. Brewed tea good. Only complaint, Pepsi products. Can't go that route. Deserts are mostly made fresh on Fridays, one or two not made there. Price is not for the big spenders, it was 6.99 without tea. C'mon people, live a little.

Broasted chicken is definitely the way to go. Best fried chicken I've ever had.

This place was great. Really wanted southern fried food and this made the trip worth it. Want dessert? Try the Peanutbutter pie!

Excellent place to eat! We got fried chicken which comes with 2 sides for $7.95 tons of food. Onion rings and curly fries were amazing, corn was clearly not canned as it tasted fresh! Comes with corn bread or biscuits. Cool setting inside the log cabin!

Excellent simple food. Great servers. Will definitely go again, perhaps to breakfast. By the way great prices.

Just stop on my way through Tennessee. Food was quick and had that delicious homemade taste. Front could use more of a restaurant feel or an update.

Its hit and miss. I can never go during the day due to my work schedule so I go in the late evening and I'm not sure if that's the difference. But in the evening the food can either be really great and yummy or semi cold and unsatisfying. And when you ask for sweet tea it isnt sweet. The pies are good. This might be one of those you have to go to early bird.

I grew up frequenting Golden Girls with my family and it remains one of my favorite memories from my childhood. I've since moved away but whenever I'm in the area I'll always want to stop here and eat. Always incredible food and excellent, friendly service. I've had to have eaten here at least 40 plus times in my life and every time has always been great. Very thankful to see that this family owned business is still going strong.

12/23/19 - My date & I came for brunch after dropping off the car at a nearby mechanic. We loved the beautiful Christmas setting! It was warm, cozy and a ton of things around to look upon including old photos of Clinton landmarks; some of which are still standing today! (See uploaded photos) Heck even the toilets look better than my home!The portions are just right for a single serving. I totally understand that some sit-down restaurants will cook more than enough food because they're pre-packaged that way or to trim burnt food or even reduction when draining the fat. But I'm Always taking food home from Applebee's & China Inn-- and nobody should be eating everything they serve unless it's shared.

This was our first time here and what a gem! Our breakfast was yummy! We were told about the history of the restaurant! We will be back!

We have eaten at this restaurant several times. There are not a lot of good breakfast choices in Clinton. The food is OK. Service is usually good. There is only one restroom with one stall. Too small for such a large restaurant. Checking out after the meal always seems to take a while. Getting in and out should be quicker for breakfast.

Every time I go here there food is always good. There has not been one time when they took over 15-30 minutes to cook our food and they have delicious, country style food. The workers there are all very sweet and they are not rude. The place really makes you feel comfortable, and you can almost make yourself at home in this wonderful restaurant.

I came here and got the country morning breakfast with a coffee. It tasted exactly as I would expect good, homemade southern cooking to be like. The restaurant is family owned and operated and has a homey atmosphere. Highly recommended, Cracker Barrel and other southern kitchens have nothing on this place. Everything has the feeling of being homemade. Definitely earned its five stars and I certainly will be coming back.

i will never support this place again, they tried to ask me questions about the virus, then after seating me and taking my order proceeded to tell me they wouldnt serve me because i refused to comply. i made a point to ask them if they understood that what they were doing wasnt a law and that they were tramping on peoples rights. the lady said yes but they were doing it anyway. if you value freedom, dont ever eat there again!

Unique restaurant. Very comfortable setting. Very friendly. And everything was delicious; a nice slice of the south. My only complaint would be that daily dessert options were not at the table or known by the waitress. We had to walk back out to the kitchen area to see the options. Side note, the slice of cake was huge! More than enough to share! Pictured is the fried okra.

We stayed in Clinton as a hub to visit several attractions. Our hotel was near Golden Girls so we ate there several times. All of the food was great. The resteraunt was very clean. The service was fantastic. If in this area again I would detour a bit to eat here again.

Good food at a decent price with friendly staff

Everything needs salt, old country style food. My parents love it, it’s just ok.

Clean place, explained all covid cleaning and distancing procedures. Very friendly staff. All of our food was good and hot. The broasted chicken was amazing. The pies were great. And obviously made in-house. We pulled in because of the name, it was worth it.

Fantastic local place to get great food and friendly service. We splurged for a Tuesday morning breakfast that was as delicious as it was fun of calories. LOL. Our server was prompt and delivered our food exactly as we ordered it. The place was clean and well equipped with condiments. Well done.

A local favorite, but also has a lot of return traffic from northerners headed south on vacation or retuning home. Reason being... the food is awesome. Country cooking with a descent selection and killer desserts. Log cabin building with a country ambiance.

Great restaurant with great ladies running it. Food was cooked perfectly. I got the roast beef and it was tender, gravy was good, potatoes were great. My wife and kids enjoyed there food as well. Service was great. Cabin feel was good and made it homey feeling.

Living in Charleston SC I've had some great southern fried chicken, but golden girls Broasted Chicken was the best fried chicken I've ever had. Great flavor, amazingly juicy, without being greasy. Mashed potatoes were disappointing but that chicken, wow!
